colorless transparent inflammable liquid with slight ammonia odor .m.p.-61°C, b.p.152.8°C, flash point 57.7°C, refractive index 1.427-1.429,density (20°C) 0.9487g/ml,miscible with water,ether,ester,ketone,chlorinated hydrocarbon and benzene hydrocarbon,hygroscopic.

Uses

DMF is an important organic material and good solvent.It is used as solvent for man-made leather and chemical fiber,also used as material for synthesis of insecticide of high-effectiveness and low-toxicity,as gas absorbent to separate and purify the gas in petrochemical industry,as material of sulfadiazine,cortisone and Vitamin B6 in pharmaceutical industry,and also as fixing agent in vapor-phase analysis.

Packing and storage

200L plastic drums or plastic coated metal pail. Tightly closed to store,prevent from leaking,avoid rain,sunlight,strictly forbid striking and rubbing,far from fire and heat source,stored in cool and ventilating places.
